Today In Music History

On December 4, 1956, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins gathered for the first and only time for a jam session at Sun Studio. They became known as the "Million-Dollar Quartet".

Sun Studio is famous for being the recording studio of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, B.B. King, Ike Turner, Jerry Lee Lewis, Charlie Rich, and others in Memphis, Tennessee.

Sun Studio is open daily for tours and it is currently being used as a recording studio at night.
